This policy explains how Liveo Beauty (“Liveo,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, liveobeauty.com. It applies to visitors to the site. Booking, payment and treatment records are handled by the separate services described below under “Third parties we work with.”

Information we collect

• Membership waitlist. If you join our membership waitlist, we collect your first name, email, phone (if you give it) and which membership interests you. Netlify stores it, and we use it only to contact you about memberships.
• Messages you send us. If you email or call us, we receive the name, contact details and anything else you choose to share.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our host may log standard information such as your browser type, device and approximate region to keep the site secure and running.
• Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people view and which buttons they use, such as “Book on Fresha”, calling us or getting directions. It records your approximate location, device and browser, not your name or contact details.

We do not take payments or store card details on this website.

How we use it

• To send you the updates and offers you signed up for, and nothing you didn’t.
• To reply to your enquiries and help you book or plan a visit.
• To keep the website safe, secure and working properly.

Third parties we work with

To run the studio and this site we rely on a few trusted services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Fresha: our online booking and payments platform. When you book, your details are handled by Fresha under their privacy policy.
• Google Maps & Google Fonts: used to show our location and display the site’s typography.
• Google Analytics: used to understand how the website is used (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
• Netlify: hosts this website and stores membership waitlist sign-ups made through the forms on our site.

We share your information with these providers only as needed to deliver the service. We never sell your personal information.

When else we may share it

• If the law requires it. We may disclose information when required by law or by a valid request from a public authority, such as a court or government agency, or when needed to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
• If the business changes hands. If Liveo is involved in a merger, sale or similar transfer, your information may be transferred as part of it. We will give notice before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent. For any other purpose, only if you agree.

Where your information is stored

Some of the services above store and process information on servers outside British Columbia and Canada, where privacy laws may differ from ours. We only use services that take reasonable steps to keep it secure.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, and we don’t use advertising or remarketing cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics is switched off for you. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Keeping your information safe

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children

This website is not meant for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
